I am a multidisciplinary designer with experience in digital graphics, user interface design, web development, print, publication, advertising and marketing design. I incorporate essential user experience design methods to create successful visual solutions and positive experiences.
As a designer, I have produced conceptual design for national and regional clients. My background is rooted in hands-on design, so I am intimately familiar with each step of the design process, from concept to completion. This hands-on experience has allowed me to produce projects that range from original illustrations, retail ads, in-store signage, marketing and corporate print collateral and publication design to storyboards, prototypes, wireframes, digital assets and web development.
I have worked closely with creative directors, designers, marketers, copywriters, editors, instructional designers, project managers, IT teams and developers to produce products for a variety of audiences.
Onsite contractor via Telophase Corporation, supporting the Engineering and Technology Directorate (ETD) Software Engineering Division —multidisciplinary role producing visual designs, user interface design, user experience assets and solutions, wireframes, prototypes, websites (frontend development), digital graphics, animation and graphic design services.
Goddard's Strategic Partnerships Office (SPO); onsite contractor (via Telophase Corporation) producing digital, web, event and publication products for outreach and inreach initiatives. Worked within multidisciplinary team. The SPO links Goddard's internal inventors and industry's external partners through three core program areas managed by the office: Technology Transfer, SBIR/STTR, and Global Partnerships.
Onsite designer and illustrator (full-time contractor via Randstad) in product development for two years creating activity books, nonfiction magazines, storyboards and original illustrations for educational publications before joining the marketing team as a graphic designer.
Onsite freelancer – designed and produced marketing and corporate print collateral. User interface design and maintenance for several corporate sites. Created websites, wireframes, email templates and a variety of digital assets.
Design Services Department (web/print). Managed a department that produced interactive and print design work for a variety of business audiences (B2B) from conception of ideas through design, layout and production, to the deployment of client web sites. Worked collaboratively with marketers, publishers and developers to create high quality, relevant and effective products.
Created conceptual design, layout and production of retail ads, in-store and outdoor signage, direct marketing, annual reports and other business and event collateral for national and regional clients (B2B and B2C). Worked with broadcasting editors and designers to create imagery for commercials and digital multimedia projects.
Publication design and production of elementary, high school and college textbooks, including bilingual editions in English and Spanish. Traveled regularly with sales and marketing teams to assist in sales efforts.
My interests include health and fitness (kickboxing, racquetball, killer fitness bootcamps and an occasional arm wrestle challenge). Healing the body through diet and excercise is an important focus. I also enjoy the challenge of learning and researching new tricks or tools that streamline the design discovery and development process.
